This 1,500-acre quiet and friendly natural gem is located near the beautiful spring fed Chain O’Lakes. Year-round camping, a refurbished log cabin, several picnic areas and excellent fishing and boating opportunities highlight Hartman Creek State Park. Whispering Pines picnic area on Marl Lake on the upper “Chain” is especially picturesque. A five mile segment of the national ice age trail also traverses the park providing hikers a glimpse into the work of glaciers 10,000 years ago.
