Columbus Washboard Company

The Columbus Washboard Factory, located in downtown Logan, Ohio, is the only remaining washboard manufacturer in the U.S.A. We use many of the original presses and machinery to make our washboards. See an American manufacturing factory in action on one of our guided tours. The Columbus Washboard Factory is open Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm (4pm May-Nov). & we offer wifi!

Hocking Valley Scenic Railway

Historic train ride Saturday and Sunday at noon (14-mile trip) and 2:30 p.m. (22-mile trip) plus stop at pioneer village (June-Oct.). Preseason rides begin mid April. Season runs through October, and holiday trains run in December. Specials (fares vary): Easter, Train Robbery, Caboose, Santa and New Year’s. Robbins Crossing at Hocking College

Robbins Crossing is a collection of mostly original log cabins built by settlers of the Hocking Valley in the 1850s and carefully reassembled in their new location to form what might have been a typical village for the settlers. The village is open every weekend from Memorial Day through the end of October and is “inhabited” with students and local volunteers demonstrating period life.
